John Holcroft | Flaws of Society

John Holcroft grew up in Lancashire and later moved to Yorkshire when he was 9. During his collage years he became a fan of artists like David Cutter, Ian Pollock and Edward Hopper. He left with an HND in Graphic design and was proud until he ended up in the 90s recessional jobless queue.
He practiced illustration work in his spare time, in 1996 he took the plunge and started freelance in illustration.  In 2001,  he started working with technology and began executing his artwork using a Wacom tablet and Corel Painter. Since then he has reinvented his style about 5 or 6 times. It was in 2009 that he decided to create a sustainable style with a little more longevity.
