Hitting Notes: Yasir Rana

Yasir began playing music at age 10 inspired by artists such as Atif Aslam, Ali Azmat and the backstreet boys. He taught him self drums and began singing in Urdu and Punjabi. At school he learned guitar and drums. 6 years later Yasir began writing and recording music and started his own band Zasur. On visit to the US from Pakistan, Yasir is hoping to collaborate with as many musicians as possible before he return home to finish his debut album.
He is performing solo for the 7th Annual International Tea at the University Museum, Sunday November 3rd, 2013.
